Who is Mintz Global Screening?
Following Garda Background Screening Solutions’s acquisition by the Mintz Group in December 2016, we are very excited to officially announce that we are now known as Mintz Global Screening.
Mintz Global Screening is born out of the fusion of Garda Background Screening Solutions, the Canadian leader in the background screening industry, with Mintz Group’s existing screening practice Global Verify. Both organizations share the same extensive track record of ensuring client satisfaction through the highest quality of service as well as the most innovative and comprehensive solutions. This move broadens our global reach and expands the services we currently offer our clients with Global Verify’s practice and US/international expertise.
For us, this new name ushers in a new chapter of our story where we will pursue further international growth and cultivate our expertise all the while continuing to promote best practices and operational expertise in the Canadian industry. Rest assured that more than ever, we will continue to provide our clients with an exceptional level of background screening services for which we have come to be recognized in the industry over the past 95 years.
Following are a few of the most commonly asked questions regarding our new brand. Should you have any other enquiries, please feel free to contact us.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I see you have a new logo. Is anything else going to change?
In addition to our new name – Mintz Global Screening – and our new logo, which is now displayed on all of our systems, our brand will go through a progressive transformation over the next few months. You can look forward to a new, more modern image as well as much more content to share our industry expertise and provide you with more background screening tools than ever before. For approximately six months, we will continue to identify ourselves as “formerly known as Garda Background Screening Solutions”. We expect to operate exclusively under our new brand by the start of the fourth quarter of 2017.
Did you move?
We did not move from our physical locations in Canada (Montreal and Toronto), and we do not expect to. Both offices are continuing to operate exactly in all the same functions they have in the past.
We did move electronically – here’s where you can find us now:
Email – our email domain has changed to @mintzglobal.com. All of our existing addresses have been transferred and the first part of the email address has not changed (for example communications@gardape.com is now communications@mintzglobal.com and any individual email address is still composed of the first letter of their first name followed by their last name).
Until you have had enough time to update your contacts, we will have a “redirect” on all former email addresses to make sure you can still reach us.
Website – you can now find us at mintzglobalscreening.com\/stage/stage. Make sure to drop by our blog for the latest on the background industry. Until you have had enough time to update your bookmarks, our former website address will automatically take you to our new website.
Online System – our online system is now located at mintzscreeningservices.com/business. Until you have had enough time to update your bookmarks, our former website address will automatically take you to our new website.
Telephone – none of our numbers have changed, you can continue to reach us at 1.877.359.8130
I like your online system. Is it going to change too?
As you might have already noticed, our new system has been updated to show our new name and logo. We have always relied on technological innovation as one of our main differentiators, which is what has lead us to develop one of the most advanced online systems in the screening industry. We will continue to use our current online system to manage your background screening requests and continue to build upon it to adapt to our new business opportunities. The Mintz Group shares our faith in the importance of leading-edge technology to meet our clients need and will continue to invest in constantly bettering our systems to answer your background screening needs.
Will you change your consent forms? Does this mean I can’t use my existing forms anymore?
We will continue to operate in a co-branded (both names) environment for the next 6 months. Authorization forms will need to be updated, however we understand this will take time and the old ones will be acceptable for the short term. Our account managers and Customer Service representatives will reach out to clients who use manual forms within the coming weeks with updated forms.
Who will service my account moving forward?
There will be no change to who currently services your account. We are maintaining both our Canadian locations. Your usual team will remain in place and continue to offer you the same level of customer service dedication and high quality work as usual.
Do we need to re-sign contracts and service agreements? Does it change parties legal commitments in any way?
No, the corporation we have operated under, 8313784 Canada Inc., has been amalgamated with another entity to form “Mintz Global Screening Inc.”, a corporation incorporated in British Columbia under the British Columbia Business Corporation Act. All the rights and obligations of 8313784 Canada Inc. automatically transferred to Mintz Global Screening Inc. by operation of law. Having done so, this transaction does not impact the contracts we have in place or any of our contractual responsibilities.
Will it change anything to invoicing/billing?
Starting this month, you will receive invoices under our new brand name. In the weeks to come, we will also request that our clients who pay their invoices via electronic transfer update our banking information; if it is the case for your company, our accounting department will be in touch with more information.
Will this give you the ability to service us globally for our sites around the world?
For the last 5 years, the move to global screening has been a reality. Currently, we can provide a high level of service worldwide through partnerships with well vetted and in-country experts who provide us with the necessary local know-how and experience. We will continue with this approach; however with this transaction we will also be well positioned to capitalize on the existing framework of the Mintz Group and offer this global handling using our own in-country experts. This will not happen right away, however the ability to reach globally is now nearer then it has ever been.
Does this change the services you offer?
Any background screening services we currently provide to your organization will continue to be offered by our existing teams. As a matter of fact, as we move forward, we look forward to expanding our service offering through our new global capabilities resulting from this transaction and through the Mintz Group’s extensive experience in high-level screening and investigation.
